Elos Plus Laser Treatments

Sublative

Used to improve skin tone and texture. Treats mild to moderate wrinkles and texture irregularities. Radio-frequency energy is precisely directed into the skin the form of a matrix. Healthy skin around the dots accelerates the healing process. After the treatment it’s common to have a pink or red “sunburn”.

Sublime

Used for skin contouring and tightening with no downtime. The sublime laser stimulates collagen production and improved overall skin quality in areas that most often show signs of aging like the eyes, brow lines, cheeks and around the neck.

SRA

Used to treat pigment irregularities such as rosacea and sun/age spots. Gradual improvement of skin tone is typically achieved in a treatment series.

Laser Treatments

Virtue Rf

The VirtueRF Microneedling Platform is the most advanced RF microneedling device available today. The combination of radio-frequency and microneedling has become a proven, non-invasive option to visibly improve skin tone, tighten skin, and reduce fine lines and wrinkles. With three handpieces, more settings, and precise depths our providers are able to customize your treatment.

Microneedling works by applying sterile microneedles deep into the dermis of the skin. These needles 1) create microscopic channels that stimulate the natural production of collagen and 2) deliver radio-frequency heat energy at the desired depths to promote remodeling of collagen and elastin that tightens and lifts the skin.

  • Exact RF Used to target areas around the mouth, eyes, jawline, and others that require absolute precision.
  • Smart RF Used for tightening and reducing fine lines and wrinkles on the face, neck, and décolleté.
  • Deep RF Designed to tighten, smooth, and revitalize skin on the arms, abdomen, glutes, thighs, and other areas on the body.

KTP Laser

Used to treat spider veins, sun spots and seborrheic keratosis. The KTP laser is a machine that emits light of a single wavelength 532 nanometers. This light is absorbed by pigment. The lighter the treated area/lesion, the less the energy absorbed. The darker the area/lesion, the more the energy absorbed.

LAser Hair Removal

During laser hair removal, a laser emits a light that is absorbed by the pigment (melanin) in the hair. The light energy is converted to heat, which damages the tube-shaped sacs within the skin (hair follicles) that produce hairs. This damage inhibits or delays future hair growth. Typically 6-8 treatments are needed along with periodic touch ups.

Coolpeel

Best for light skin resurfacing. Improves fine lines, texture and light pigmentation with little to no downtime. Treatment areas include the face, neck, decollete and hands. A series of 3 treatments is recommended for best results.

CO2 Laser

Used for aggressive anti-aging. Can be used on the full face, peri-oral (around the mouth) or under the eyes. 6-8 week skin prep is required prior to treatment.

The suitability of laser treatment is determined during the office consultation. Patients may not have tanned skin or sun exposure for at least 2 weeks prior to laser treatment. All laser procedures have risks. Minor complications occur occasionally. Major complications are quite unusual.

CO2 Laser

Carbon Dioxide Laser Resurfacing is very effective in diminishing the appearance or totally erasing wrinkles on the face.

The science is quite simple. The laser removes the top layers of skin by vaporizing them. Since superficial wrinkles and sun spots reside in the top layers of skin, they are immediately removed. Thereafter, the body’s own wound-healing mechanisms do the rest of the work:  the top layer of skin, the epithelium, reforms; fibroblasts, a specialized cell in the dermis, produces collagen, which thickens the skin. Later, the collagen molecules form linkages to adjacent collagen molecules. Weeks later, these linkages shorten, which produces tightening of the skin.

Candidates For CO2 Laser Treatment

Pre-Op Visit + Preparation

Much is covered during your pre-op visit. First, one of our highly trained medical assistants will take pre-op photos. Next, your provider will thoroughly inform you as to what you can expect from the CO2 procedure. Note that all procedures involve some risk, but major complications are rare. Your provider will then obtain a more complete medical history from you and check your vitals. All products for prepping your skin will be given and explained to you at this time. Products must be used for 4-6 weeks prior to the procedure. All consent will be filled out at this appointment and final payments are due at this time.

The Process

One hour prior to the actual time of treatment, the patient arrives to our office so that specialized anesthetic cream can be applied to the area of skin to be treated. It takes 45 to 60 minutes for the cream to adequately penetrate and numb the skin. We then apply the laser treatment. The treatment takes 30-60 minutes and is dependent on the number of areas being treated. No dressings are needed. The treated area can remain red for 3-8 weeks after healing, dependent on the parameters of the treatment. Swelling may peak at day 2-3. Patients may use mineral powder make up for cover once their face has stopped peeling. Significant improvement in the tone and texture of the skin is gradual.

Post-Op Recovery

You may experience generalized edema for 3-4 days. Surface skin darkening will occur at the treatment area as well. You will be sent home with specific post care instructions for cleaning the skin during all stages of healing. Total healing time takes 2-3 weeks depending upon depth of penetration. Mineral make up may be worn after the first 2 weeks of healing.  You will follow up with your provider multiple times after your procedure to make sure the skin is healing properly. Pictures will be taken 3-6 months after the procedure to see full results.

The suitability of laser skin resurfacing for an individual is determined during the office consultation. All procedures have risks. Minor complications occur occasionally. Major complications are quite unusual.
