THE TECHNOLOGY:

With every treatment, the Fraxel laser produces thousands or even millions of microscopic wounds right underneath the top layers of skin. The spared skin in between the columns of treatment supplies the cells for very rapid healing--within days! Aside from several days of redness, dry scaling and some swelling, there is virtually no down time. Woman and men are able to return to work in days a day or two.

THE PROCESS
One hour pior to the actual time of treamtment, the patient arrives to our office so that specialized anesthetic cream can be applied to the area of skin to be treated. It takes 45 to 60 minutes for the cream to adequately penetrate and numb the skin.
We then apply the laser treatment. No injections are necessary. The treatment takes less than 30 minutes. No dressing are needed.
The teated area remains red for several hours. Very mild swelling lasts for approximately 24 hours.
Significant improvement in the tone and texture of the skin is gradual. Generally, 5-7 treatments are necessay.
